MySQL is a powerful database management system that is widely used to add, access and process data stored in a computer database. You can create multiple databases and users on a MySQL server, and edit privileges for the users to access and manage MySQL databases, this helps meet your deversified needs on a server and make the most out of the server.
Managing MySQL database from a command line can be quite strenuous and time-consuming for most of people. Thus, in order to facilitate the management of MySQL/MariaDB database, VPSrobots has integrated a GUI tool that allows you to create and remove MySQL databasesusers, manage privileges for the users in a fairly easy manner. The tool comes with a ultra user-friendly interface,which consists two sections: Database/User Creating and Database/User Managing.
Database/User Creating Section
This section is responsible for creation of database and user, which consists of three tabbed panes:
1. Quick Creation
The pane is designed for quick creation of a new database and user which can be done simply by filling out the database name, user name, user password, selecting authority for the user. Note, the quick creation will grant all privileges to the user on this database, and you can change them anytime after the creation.
2. Create Database
The pane allows you to create a database with one click.
3. Create User
From this pane you can create a database user and edit the global privileges to the user during the process.
Database/User Managing Section
Reload button is response for refreshing the page to keep the information updated and synchronized in your MySQL/MariaDB. Meanwhile, VPSrobots periodically auto refreshes the module to retrieves the latest data.
This section is responsible for management of MySQL databases and users in two tabbed panes: the Database pane and the User pane:
1. The Database Pane
The Database pane displays all MySQL databases on the server. Each database is followed by actions you can perform to the database, which includes Edit Privilege, Export, Import, Drop Database.
2. The User Pane
The User pane lists all existing database users, together with the User Name and Host type as well as actions you can perform to each user, which includes Edit Privilege, Replace Password, View Current Password and Remove User.
When you click Privilege icon after a user, a window will be brought up where you can grant/revoke the privileges on all MySQL databases for the user by ticking/unchecking them.
Replace password action allows you to reset the user password.
View Password action will display the current user password for you.
Drop action is used to permanently remove the user from your MySQL.
