phpMyAdmin is a free software tool written in PHP, intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. phpMyAdmin supports a wide range of operations on MySQL and MariaDB. VPSrobots is built with a database management module on which you can add, remove databases and users as well as grant user’s privileges. In order to improve the ability of database management, phpMyAdmin is integrated with VPSrobots so that users can easily access phpMyAdmin from VPSrobots. This step by step guide will explain how to set up phpMyAdmin with VPSrobots.
Before you begin with this guide, you have a virtual private server (VPS) installed LAMP stack and VPSrobots client installed on your computer.
Log in VPSrobots client
Log in VPSrobots and create a node on VPSrobots for your VPS. And then click Database tab and open it. You will find an option called Config phpMyAdmin at the top right corner on Database interface and click it.
Set up phpMyAdmin
After config phpMyAdmin interface is displayed, there are some information you are required to fill out. Type your installation directory for phpMyAdmin which is installed at the new created folder called VPSrobots tools by default. Set a password for root user. Regarding phpMyAdmin access, please select one of the options depending on your need. At last, click Apply button at the bottom right corner.
To check whether phpMyAdmin works or not, please click Open phpMyAdmin option at the top right corner on Database interface. If you have configured everything correctly, you should be greeted by a page below. Username is root and enter your password to log in phpMyAdmin.
