When you select Valid Domain option, you must know some details below about resolving the domain to the server.
- The domain could be resolved to the server.
- The way of resolving your domain to the server should be known.
This guide will lead you to resolve the domain to the server.
At first, you will need to log in your domain provider and go to domain management page, for example GoDaddy, and then click Manage DNS option from the drop down menu at the top right corner of My Domain page.
After that, a DNS Management dashboard appears. Go to Nameservers, you will have the options of Default and Custom. As you choose Default option, DNS is provided by domain provider. If you select Custom option, please type at least two Nameservers of your web host. Select one depending on your needs. Then click Save button to save the form.
After that, the page turns to a summary as shown below. There is a Change button which you can click to edit your Nameserver information. The operation on domain provider control panel is done. Now let’s start to edit on VPS provider.
If you are a Vultr VPS user, please log in to Vultr. and then click DNS option from Servers menu at the dashboard.
Click DNS option to open DNS dashboard. Then click Add Domain button.
Now you are taken to the Add Domain dashboard, please enter your domain and IP address in form, after that, click Add button at the Add Domain dashboard.
Normally it will take several hours to resolve your domain to your server successfully, please be patient.
Linode is one of VPS providers supported by VPSrobots. If you are a Linode VPS user, please log in to Linode Manager and click DNS Manager option on the top menu bar of the main dashboard.
When DNS manager dashboard appears, you will see the option called Add a domain zone at the bottom right corner on the dashboard and click it.
After that, a new dashboard appears where you will need to enter your domain and email address in the form on it, and then select one from Insert Default Records options that best suits you. If you select Yes, please choose a server from the drop down menu. Click Add a Master Zone button to start resolving your domain to the server. it will take several hours to complete the job.
If you already have a server provided by Host1Plus, then you will need to log in to it’s system and open your DNS Management dashboard from navigation menu on the left side of the main dashboard. and click DNS Records from it’s drop down menu.
After that, DNS Management dashboard appears. Enter your domain and IP address in the form. When you enter your IP address, type a custom IP address manually or select a deployed server from the drop down menu. And click Add button to start resolving the domain to the server. It would take several hours to resolve your domain to the server successfully.
If you purchased a server from DigitalOcean, please log in to it’s system and go to Networking bar from the top of the main dashboard.
After that, Networking dashboard appears, please enter your domain in the form at the bottom of dashboard and click Add Domain button.
After that, a new dashboard appears. find Create new record, fill the form under it depending on your needs. When entering the IP address, you can enter a custom IP address or select a deployed server. Click Create Record button to start resolving your domain to the server. It will take several hours, so be patient.
- No domain
When selecting No Domain option, your site will only be accessed with Http (Https)://IP address/website folder name.
- Set Server Alias
It is second-level domain which must be a valid domain and could be resolved to the sever.
